An engineer reads the message in full. If something is missing to answer usefully, that is the first question we will ask.
Named acknowledgement
Within one business day you know who is picking up the file and what they propose: a slot, a scope to write down, or a document to send you.
The substantive answer
It follows, and its timeframe depends on what you asked for. If it is long, we say so in the acknowledgement rather than leaving you waiting.

If nothing reaches you.
